Tree Removal

About Us

A professional tree service crew wearing safety gear and using modern equipment to safely remove a large tree from a residential property in Portland.

Deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, higher standards for your canopy.

Cascade Tree Works was born out of a deep respect for the towering giants that define the Portland landscape. Founded by local arborists who spent years climbing, pruning, and safely dismantling complex trees in tight neighborhoods from Southeast to the West Hills, we recognized a need for a tree service that balanced technical precision with genuine stewardship. We started with a commitment to keeping our neighbors’ properties safe during our infamous Pacific Northwest winter storms, building our reputation one yard at a time.

We believe that tree removal should never be a hasty decision, but when a tree becomes a hazard to your home or power lines, it requires absolute expertise. Our values are anchored in safety, transparency, and meticulous clean-up. We utilize advanced rigging techniques to protect your landscaping, roofs, and fences, ensuring that the only sign we were ever on your property is the absence of the hazard.

Our Mission

Cascade Tree Works was founded to provide Portland homeowners and businesses with a reliable, safety-first approach to tree management and removal. We understand that local properties require a delicate balance between structural safety and natural beauty, which is why we deliver precision tree care that protects your investments and enhances your landscape’s health.

Deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, our commitment goes beyond simple maintenance; we are dedicated to preserving the integrity of our community’s unique urban forest. By utilizing low-impact techniques and sustainable practices, we ensure that every project supports both our clients’ immediate needs and the long-term vitality of the Portland metro area.

Deep Roots in the Portland Community

As a locally owned and operated business, Cascade Tree Works is deeply connected to the neighborhoods that make Portland so unique. From the historic canopies of Northeast Portland and Irvington to the bustling streets of Southeast Portland and the quiet properties in the West Hills, we take pride in caring for the trees that define our local landscape. We don’t just work here; we live here, raise our families here, and share a collective responsibility to keep our urban forest safe, healthy, and beautiful for generations to come.

To us, tree care is about more than just removing hazardous limbs or clearing space; it is about protecting our neighbors and preserving the character of our shared environment. Whether we are helping a homeowner safely manage a storm-damaged Douglas fir or volunteering our time to support local community green spaces, we approach every job with the warmth and respect that our fellow Portlanders deserve. We believe in building lasting relationships based on trust, honest communication, and reliable service.

What They Say About Us:

I had a big old tree in my backyard that was more of a danger than anything recently. It was leaning dangerously close to the home after a storm so I called this tree service. Right from the beginning they were really responsive and easy to work with. They were there to check out the situation and described the tree removal process in a way that made sense and without trying to upsell unneeded services. The crew arrived on time on the day of the project and were very efficient. Most of all I liked that they were careful with my property and did not destroy the plants and structures near the tree when they removed it. They did the tree stump removal and left the yard clean and ready to use again. Also very helpful in advising me on future maintenance like tree cutting and pruning to avoid problems like this again. Service was smooth and professional and would be happy to use them again if I had need.
